I started my editing career more than a decade ago handling nonfiction, mostly academic and technical publications (peer-reviewed journals and institutional reports), which I still do. I currently copyedit peer-reviewed engineering journals for a longtime client and help with the training and onboarding of new copyeditors. Previously, I worked on projects published by UNDP, The Asia Foundation, and Elsevier. A few years ago, I proofread student essays and children's books for a small publisher, and my work with independent authors and subcontractors over the years has allowed me to work on a few memoirs and books on health and wellness, sales and marketing, relationships, aviation—a wide range of topics and genres. For one of the biggest publishers in the US, Hachette, I've proofread 4-color books on dance, pop culture, and education, among others.

In 2018, I started working on fiction and have since helped veteran and novice authors alike as well as publishers big and small. I’ve worked on a variety of genres, including romance, mystery, sci-fi, and fantasy.

I have a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in education. I'm a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and have completed the Certificate in Editing program offered by Poynter Institute in partnership with ACES.

Be it with big-picture guidance, a final polish, or something in between, I'd be delighted to help!
